Using Public Transport

• Convenient journey:
  The closest stop to Janssenstr. 26 is called Rubensstr. (see mark D on map) This stop is only served by tram 106; the ride from the main staticn of Essen takes about 15 minutes.
• Quick journey:
  Don't bother a 6-minute-walk? In this case, get off at station Holsterhauser Platz (underground line U17, mark E on map) or get off at station Hobeisenbrücke (underground line U18, mark A on map). Both lines need 6 minutes from the main station of Essen.
• For insiders of Essen:
  At the moment (till the end of 2001), the bus 160 stops at Uni-Klinikum (the stop Uni-Klinikum is below mark E on map, close to the red buildings)

By bicycle or car

• coming from Bochum, using motorway A40
  1. Leave the autobahn at exit 22 Holsterhausen (that's the first exit after the long tunnel in Essen, see mark B of map)
  2. Turn left into road Hobeisenstr at first traffic light
  3. continue with number 3 below
• coming from Duisburg, using motorway A40
  1. Leave the autobahn at exit 22 Holsterhausen (see C of map)
  2. Turn right into road Hobeisenstr at first traffic light
  3. Turn right into Böckstr at the second traffic light
  4. At the next crossing, turn right and immediately left into Janssenstr.
  5. 26, Janssenstr. is located at the next crossing, on the right hand side
• other directions:
  1. Try to find the Clinic of the university of Essen (Uni-Klinikum Essen), which is shown an the map as a red area, below mark E. This Clinic should be found quite easily, since there are lots of traffic signs pointing to it. After you have done so, try to find your way to us with the map.
